In one of the more eventful weekends of the year, key members of our Ctomi team spent the 14th and 15th of June showcasing our unique range of products at the inaugural Alibaba New Zealand E-Commerce Expo.
With over 20,000 people through the doors over both days, the expo presented an opportunity for our team to connect directly with local Chinese Kiwis, many of whom are interested in not only using our products for themselves, but sending products back to friends and family in China.
Our General Manager Josh Adams was present at the expo for both days, and was surprised at the turnout and enthusiasm of the crowd. "Our expectations were blown out of the water" said Josh; "We were very impressed with everyone who visited our stand- it's very clear there's a genuine level of interest in the products we have to offer. We gave out over 2,000 samples of our Propolis Toothpaste over the weekend and our website traffic + sales in the week after the expo has set new records. I'm proud of our team capitalising on the opportunity to interact with the active Chinese daigou market as Ctomi continues to gain impressive traction in New Zealand".
Our Ctomi stand was visited by delegates such as David Parker (Minister of Trade Export and Growth), David Seymour (MP of Epsom and leader of the ACT party) and Maggie Zhou (Managing Director Alibaba Australia / New Zealand), all of whom were impressed with the growth we've had through our "Tmall" Chinese platform over the past couple of years. Our Ctomi events team have already begun preparing for next years event; for those who are interested in attending, let us know and we'll contact you as soon as the dates are announced.
